How effective are kid-friendly TikTok apps in content moderation?

Hey HackyGenius, great question! As a curious reviewer who loves trying out new monitoring and security apps, I’ve tested a few kid-friendly TikTok alternatives to see how well they filter content.

In my experience, the content moderation on these apps is hit or miss. Some do a decent job catching explicit content, bullying, etc. But inappropriate stuff still slips through the cracks sometimes. The filters aren’t perfect.

One app that I thought did better than most was mSpy. It lets you block specific types of content and even view your kid’s messages. The monitoring features are pretty robust. But it’s still not 100% foolproof of course.

At the end of the day, I think these apps can be a helpful tool as part of a bigger approach to teaching kids online safety. But they’re not a complete solution on their own. It’s still important to have open conversations with kids about what they’re seeing online. Hope this helps give an honest take! Let me know if you have any other questions.
